Sports Minister Solomon Dalung says no to foreign coach, says Samson Siasia will continue
NFF President Amaju Pinnick last week said the NFF will hire a foreign coach to take on the affairs of the Super Eagles as they aim to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia after missing out on AFCON 2017, but Nigeria's Youth and sports Minister Solomon Dalung has insisted that the trend of hiring and sacking coaches by the NFF must stop.

Photos: Ethiopian marathon runner dies, four others seriously injured in a road accident in Addis Ababa
A group of Ethiopian distance runners were hit by a truck while out running in Sululuta, north of Addis Ababa, on Saturday, March 26th. A total of nine people were injured, five seriously, including one fatality. Yonas Mekonnon of Rehoboth Athletics, agent for the group says the following people were the most injured;

Rafa Benitez to pocket £3m bonus if he helps relegation-threatened Newcastle avoid the drop
Rafa Benitez who was appointed Newcastle manager in a move no one foresaw is set to earn a £3million bonus if he steers the side to safety and keeps them in the premier league, that is aside his £6million-a-season deal. Benitez has a difficult task on his hands trying to steer Newcastle away to safety, with the club currently 19th in the Premier League on 24 points with just 10 games to go.

Nike suspends Maria Sharapova after admitting to failed drugs test
SportsWear manufacturing giant Nike have suspended Maria Sharapova's $50m deal after the Russian athlete admitted to using a banned drug. The WTA ranked World No. 7 admitted in her press conference yesterday that she had been using performance enhancer drug meldonium for the last 10 years as part of a doctor's prescription for health issues and didn't know it was banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency in December.
