A heartless mother is in deep trouble after the police arrested her for selling her 3-month-old baby for a meager N300,000.
The woman was arrested by the police on Wednesday in Bayelsa State after she sold her 3-month-old baby for N300, 000 naira.
Making the announcement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Asinim Butswat, said the woman named Oyikepreye Enoch, 28 years old, sold off her baby girl to one Esther Tony, 30.
He stated, “Detectives from Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa, have arrested one Oyikepreye Enoch, female, 28 years, for allegedly selling her three months old baby girl to one Esther Tony, female, 30.
“The suspect sold the baby, who is her child, for N300,000. Enoch and Tony are undergoing interrogation at the Akenfa Police Station, Yenagoa.”
The police are already interrogating the woman at the Akenfa Police Station in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state as investigation into the matter continues.
